Summer Grant Writing Workshop

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs invites applications for our Summer Grant Writing Workshop to be held from May 10 to June 21, 2018. Up to 8 participants will be accepted into the cohort on a first come basis.

About the Workshop

The summer grant writing workshop is intended to increase the participation of UNI faculty and staff in seeking external support for their research, scholarship, and programmatic activities. The workshop will be a hands-on learning experience and will cover the major aspects of developing competitive proposals. Participants will work with RSP staff and other participants to develop a submission-ready proposal and will receive feedback from an internal review panel.

Every Thursday from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. from May 10 to June 21, 2018 (no meeting June 14th). Participants will be expected to write portions of their proposals between sessions.

This workshop is open to all current faculty and staff with the capability of serving as a PI or Co-PI in their respective departments. Participants should have a specific project identified and if possible a pre-identified funding source. RSP can assist you in identifying potential funding sources ahead of the workshop.
