    Offers a database of over 2,000 public and private funding opportunities; allows researcher to build queries based on specific funders and areas of interest; UNI currently subscribes.

Federal Funding Sources

    Free database and portal to find and apply for all grant opportunities offered by each federal agency.

Iowa Funding Sources

  • IowaGrants.gov
  • State Library of Iowa
    Information on proposal writing, fund raising and grant seeking; includes special sections for those seeking funding in education and for libraries.

Private Funding Sources

  • The Foundation Directory Online 
    Contains information about the largest public and private foundations in the U.S. and links to foundation web sites. This online edition includes full text access from more than 250,000 IRS 990 forms, 80,000 detailed funder profiles, half a million recently awarded grants, RFPs, key staff affiliations, publications, news and job postings. The Foundation Center also provides information on proposal writing, fund raising and grant seeking in the private sector; UNI currently subscribes.
